Now at auction this is just the sort of hand where, if you were to say hearis, you would shut out a so-trump bid fromycur patiner, and, being a weak yourself la diom rods and spades, you have a perfect right to hope for some win ning-cardsiatboss suits with your partner; there fore, you should say two spades, meaning that f he declares no-trumps you can safely pro- mise to take care of the spade suit for him, and that y.n also preb.b'y bave one cusida trick, although the litter is act a positive assurance.
