Canton, 3rd December, The One Hundred and Twenty Trades' Guild of Caston' has issued a circular forbididng its members to participate in gambling. The gesen! strain of the circular is as follows: "Gambling has been detrimental to as labourers, who have our families to support and the promotors of the Gambling Monopoly. are our deadilest enemies. On the 26th day a meeting was held in the Mua Lan Shu Yuan at which it was proposed to create au Anti- Gambling Society.
