In a capital little book entitled The A B C to Rubber Planting Companies in Malaya. compiled by Mr. M. Sidney Parry, Director and Mons. E. M. Muraour, the great Delginn authority on subher matters, and publiebed last month, the possible production of rubber by Merlimau Estate in 191t is gived' as 147,500 pounds, which maken at 41 net perib.. give a dividend of r cent on £175,000, or 32 per cent it taken a 8 per lb. This is exclusiverf estimated profit on Tapioca, amounting to £7,030. For19-2 Messrs. Parry and Muraour give the output as fit,100 pounds, which at 31. per ib. nett give 36 per cent on £20,000. If be 48 per cent., if at 5s, 60 per cent, 68. 72 per rubber were sold at 45. net, the dividend would cent, and so on. For 1913, the output is put down as 3,07,000 pounds-giving a dividend (with rubber at 2s. net) of 5 per cent.
