HALAY RUBBER PLANTERS.. The report of the Melay Rubber Planters, Ltd, for the period to 30th September" states that several smail suive boldings is withio the boundary at Pinji, and the directs have bought throw of them. They will be planted with subber almost immediately, as wall as about roo' acres more, which are cow cleared and ready for planting. Some of the fliest planted trees will be tapped lightly during the. coming year, and in the following year the directors anticipate that á substantial quantity of rabber will be padaced.

Tang Shap yi, the special Ambasıadar sent by Chion last year to thank the Valted Sister for the remission of the Boxer indemnity, and Heory, Chang, only son of Chang Yin Hang, the new Chinese Minister, were married at the Chinese Legation here yesterday. Former Secretary of State John W. Foster and Mr. Foster ware the only Americane present, the other guests bidden to witness the ceremony being the mem- bers of the legatios staff and a number of Chinese friends of Minister Chang Yin-tang from New York and San Francisco, including the Cebaut at San Francisco, who, with his "wife and daughter, made a' flying trip across the continent to attend.
