That the attempt may fairly be described as 'a complete success in all the more gratifying, not only in view of the despondent predictions which have been made, but because the Conservancy is at present working at a disadvantage so that cannot avail itself of the full strength of the stream until the Ship Channel is closed That cannot take place vatil the passage through the junk Channel's spacious enough to take the whole stream, to that for the moment the fall depth has to be provided with something like half the full amount of water.
