The Chief Justice asked what was going to be done with the policy.

The Official Receiver returned that it was a #sw one and very slim.

The Chief Justice was aware of that The difficulty was that in the event of a discharge the policy would revert to Mr. Looker: As it now stood it could not cover the debts, but it was quite good in the event of Captale Mit chell's death

The matter wasnotestited then, and Mr. Grist, who said he appeared on behalf of Messus. Ewens and Harton (creditors) addressed the Ceart. He said that an order should be made for bidding Captain Mitchell from paying out any more to keep up the insurance policy. What money had already been paid out and whit more he intended to pay should go to the general body of creditors. He (Captain Mitchell) had no right to rob the general body of creditors to pay Messrs. Deacon, Looker and Deacon and

Messrs. Jardine, Matheson and Company. The debtor had spent a lot of money in a lot of cases in which he had no defence, and when Ewans and Harsion should be paid, they were receiving a small dividend.
