THE THAW CASH.
New York, October 16. An anticipated, legal complications are de valoping between the State Cousts of New York and Pondayĺvania over the question of Tasw's appearance at the Federal 'bankjuptcy proceedings at Pittsburg next Monday, The writ issued by Judge Archibald, sing in the Federal Circuit Court of the Western district of Pennsylvania, has been served upon the authorities of Maiteawan Asylum, ordering ham to surrender Thaw to the United States Marshal for this purpose. The attitude of the New York Stato authorities seems to be that the writ must be'obayed, but not until Colona! Gardiner, the counsel specially briefed by the State Attorney-General, bas doos all that he cea to keep Thaw, within the jurisdiction of New York State. He has at least obtained pro vision in the writ for the safe return of the prisoner to thir State, and while, Thaw is in Pennsylvania be hopes to hold him in salo custody.
When once, however, Thaw is in the State of Pennsylvania, of which he is a citizen, there is a prospect that the legal machinery of the State Courts may be set in motion by >Thaw's Chunsel, who, failing to secure bis liberation in New York, may succeed in Penn sylvania by reason of the organic law of that State which offers wide scope for the protection ́of a citizen" by Aldean corpus proceedings. Thaw's counsel are believed to have is view an application for such a win in wider to Teep Sim outside the jurisdiction of the State of New-York, and that they will try to satisfy the Pennsylvania State Courts that he is save and entitled to his liberty. The New York State nutboritise are bound strongly to contest such *au.action..
