The C. P. R. Co's as, Empress of Japan arrived at Koba at midnight on 13th inst, and left again at 1.30p.m., Sa'urday, for Yokohama, where she is due to arrive at 3.30 p.m., on lost.

The G. P. R. Coa sa. Empress of China arrived at Shanghai at 7 a.m, on 18th fast, and leaves again at 7 p.m., same day for Hongkong, where she is due to arrive at 9 a., on 19th. Inst.

On the 16th at 11.55 -The barometer has risen considerably over Japan, and fallen moderately in N. China,

The depression in the South remains almost, stationary over S. E. Luxın.

The high pressure area is spreading East- wards over Japan.

Strong monsoon may be expected in the Formosa Channel and N. to N.E. 'geles over the N. part of the Chlos Sea.

Hongkong Rainfall for the 24 hours ending at ro am, to-day, 0,00,inches.
