INTERESTING CLAIM DISCUSson.
Yesterday a Panama hat was the subject of an action in the Supreme Court. To-day it was a camera. Mr. W. L. Weaser, architect and surveyor, of 88, Des Vieux Road Central, brought an action against Loog ting ånd. Company, photographers, -17, Queen's Read Central, for the returs of his camera; or in the 'alternative its valus-$90.

Mr.J. H. Gardiner, of Messrs. Brutton and Heu, represented the plaintiff. Mr. G. E. Morrell, of Messrs. Goldring, Barlow and - Morrell, was for the defendant firm.
The alleged facts of the cars, as outlined for the prosecution, were that in May last plaintiff lant his camera to Mr, Goldsmith, of the Public Works Department, who, after taking some photographs, took the camera back to the de. fandant firm where he left it with instructions
to develop and prins the plate. He also felt orders to return the camera to'plaintiff. Some days later Mr. Goldsmith called at the defen. dant firm for the negatives and prints, which be paid for. During the end of June plaintiff wast to the defendante, and seeing his camera there, gave instructions to have it recharged and to attend to the springs. On the morning-of August Bank Holiday plaintiff, west to get was told by the bi camera, and be defendants that it could not be found. One of the assistants told plaintiff that be thought it was returned to Mr. Goldsmith. As a matter of fact the defendants were not sure of what they had done with the camera, for they sont round to Mr. North to loquire whether they had given it to him by mistake, Mr., Goldsmith and Mr. North, denied having the camera. The camera was bought three years ago.for.ien guineas.

After the evidence of the interpreter had been taken, the Coroner explained that he had order-
