BRAVE PUSSZE WITH A TIGER."

Lucknow, March, 19. "An "Indian" Daily Telegraph" correspond. ent says:-A wooderiul feat of bravery was, performed recently by two brothers, Khuda. Baksh and Shaikh Abdul Ghani of Moradbad, in Rampur State. They were despatched on au errand from Moradbad to Rasper and, while entering the grove at Khadpura, ■ liger sprang upoo Khuda-Baksh. He warded off the

and hand caught one of the paws of the beast with the other and, being a strong inan, maio: tained his hold though the tiger was maul- ing the other arm. Abdul Ghani now ushed

up with a huge stick which he forced down the tiger's throat causing it to release his brother's hand; when Khuda Baksh seized another of its paws with big wounded hand, wresting with and holding the animal, whilst Abdul-Ghani belaboured it to death. The dead tiger was, then taken to the Nawab of Ratapur.
