On the 28th at 12.10 p.-The baro: eter bas fallen moderately to slightly over the N.E. and S.E. coast of China respectively,

Preature is highest and near the normal over the S. Philippines. it remain low on the China coast, particularly in the North.

The Japanese returns for this morning are not yet to hand. Those of yesterday after noon showed that pressure remained very low over and to the Southward of S. Japan..

Moderate variable winds may be expected in the Formosa Channel, and moderate or fresh S.W. winds over the N, part of the China Sea. Hongkong rainfall for the 24 hours ending

at roa.m. to-day, 003 inch.

'NIGHT SIGNALS,

The following Night Signals will be exhibit- ed from the Flagstaff on the roof of the Water Police Station at Kowloob, the Harbour Ofen ́ Flagstad, and H.M.S, Tomar.

1. Threa Lights Vertical, Green Green Green, indicates that a typhoon is believed to be

situated more than 300 miles from the Colony.

II. Three Lights Vertical, Green Red Green, indicates that a typhoon is believed to be situated less than 300 miles from the Colony.

'III. Three Lights Vertical, Red Green Red, fodicates that the wind may be expected to increas to full typhoon force at any moment,

No. III. Signal will be accompanied by the Explosive Bombs, as above, in the event of the Information conveyed by this signal being first published by night;

These Night Signals will be substituted the the Day Signals at sunsat, and will, whan ́necessary, be altered during the night.

SUPPLEMENTARY WARNINGS,

For the benefit of Native Craft and passing. Ocean/Vessels, a Cane will be exhibited at. nach of the following stations during the tíma that any of the above Day Signals are holstad in the Harbour.
