NOTICE is hereby given that an EXTRA ORDINARY GENERAL MEETING OF THE COMPANY will be held at the Com pany's Registered Office No. 8, Queen's Road West, Victoria, Hongkong, on TUESDAY, the 23rd day of the 12th Moon of the 32nd year of Kwong Sui (the 5th day of February, 19.7), ai 120'clock hoon, when the following Resolutions will be proposed, viz.
-That the capital of the Company be in- creased from $150,000 to $350,000 by the issue of 5,000 fully paid up new shares of $20 each ranking for dividend, voting power and in all other respects pari passu with the existing shares of the Company: 2. Easy-going and confiding, his news- paper experiences were not always pleasant or advantageous to him from a worldly point of view, nor was he always fortunate, in the selection of those whom be associated with him from time to time in these enterprises. There can be little doubt,, indeed, that the anxieties attendant upon the conduct of these businesses went a long way towards under mining his health, and. that, added to the accident already mentioned, the injury which they inflicted on his constitution was too much will be despatched for the above Ports, on or for him to bear up against when real illness about the 20th February,,

Monday last was the last day he was in town, Hongkong, 17th January, 1907. for on Tuesday he was indisposed again and. feeling too ill to come in from his well-known bungalow, "The Back o' Beyond" on the Soochow Creek above Jessfield.
