COUNTRY"MOWNING,
Outside my open window
A stretch of village green, Freshness of quiet morning
Is on the peaceful scene.
The brook through feeds and rushes,
Puns on its quiet way, There water hens are hidden;"
And there the wild-duck stray. In every copse the pheasant Whirs in a golden sight. Alas! the burnished beauty,
That
may be dull to-night! Blue haze and bluer shadows,
And pheasant-gold, the trees, The mist from the pale meadows
Is grey as are the seas,
Beyond the spreading oak-trees,
Beyond, the swelling park Rises the lordly mountain,
Gorpe gold and ráther-dark.
See there the dappled beauties
All shining in the sun,,
The horses and their riders-
Cub-hunting's just begun,
Below my open window.
The village gossip slays : They talk of crops and caule
And of the good old days,
Caule and horses wander,
Cropping the grass sa cool; A cygnet prey and fearless
· Travels from pool to pool.
Blue smoke hangs in the branches, Sweet sounds of morning rise, And all sweet innocences
Are in the Morning's eyes.

No doubt you have seen in the papers such announcements an this-concerning some medicine or other:-"If, on trial, you write that this medicine has done you do good, we will refund your money. Now, we have cover bad reason to speak in that way concerning the remedy named in this article. In a trade extending throughout the world, nobody has ever complained that our medicine has failed, or asked for the return of his money. The public never grumbles at honestly and skillfully made bread, or at a medicins which really and. actually does what it was made to do. The foundations of
WAMPOLES PREPARATION are laid in sincerity and honour, the knowledga of which on the part of the people explains its popularity and success. There is nothing to disguise or conceal. It was not dreamed. out, or discovered by accident it was studied out, on the solid principles of applied" medical science. It is palatable as honey and contains all the nutritive and curative properties of Pure Cod Liver Oil, extracted by us from fresh cad livers, combined with the Compound Syrup of Hypophosphites and the Extracts of Malt and Wild Cherry. This remedy is praised by'all who have employed it in any of the diseases it is recommended to relieve and cure, and is effective from the first dose. In 'Anemia, Scrofula, Nervous and Genemi Debility, In- fluenza, La. Grippe, and Throat and Lung Troubles, it is a specific.. It is precisely what it is said to be, and has won the confidence of the public on that basis. You may resort to it with a faith and hope that arise from the history. of what it has done for others. Dr. Thos. When the people of Parii rose against Charles X., who had issued the fatal Ordinances against the Press, the question was how to get a num ber of troops, especially some superior officer, for the support of the insurrectionary move- ment. Lafayette was approached, whose name had become so popular through his share in the American War of Independence; but he hesitat ed for a good while. On July 29, however, a man of middle height and with strong, expres, sive features, clad in the uniform of a general. and followed by a large number of armed men' was seen walking across the "Market of the Innocent."
