They say men must work and women must weep; but alas, in this too busy world women often have to work and weep at the same time. Their holidays are too fow and their work beary and monotonous
It makes them. The depressed and nervous and irritable worded woman loses her appetite and grow thin and feeble. Once in a whilo-she has spells of palpitation and has to lie up for a day or two. If some disease like influenza or malarial fever happens to prevail she is almost certain to bave an attack of it, and that often paves the way for chronic troubles of the throat, lungs, and other organs; and there is no saying what the end may be. Other countries furnished the 14.5 per cent remaining, and American cop. sumption of raw silk other than previously enumerated was 5.6 per cent.
in regard to the present status of the indus. try the report says:

actively employed, and in some mills there has been practically entire suspension of activity, The result, however, will be healiby, for so long as conservatism of manufacture continues in the present state there will be no surplus stock of Roods manufactured to be sold at bargain prices.
One of the reasons for the decrease in the consumption of raw and spun silk by colton manufacturers, the review says, was a change in 1904, when a demand sprang up for plain. white goods, making the mixed silk and cotton' goode a drug on the market.
