A propos of river steamers, we are glad to be able to report that attempts at refloating the Hongkong, Chuton and Maczo Steamboat Co.'s Ainshan hav to-day proved successful. Sailers-British bark Felipe is loading under her cha ter for Baltimore and New York. American ship 7. F. Chapman will, it is ex- pected, have finished repairs in another fort night. Whether American ship S. P. Hitchcock will be woith repairing could not be ascertained yer. She is still lying stranded were she found herself after the typhoon in contract for DOMESTIC CLEANLINESS and TAKE NOTICE that under No. 3 of towing her off has now been made.
