-*, new guesi was hazarded in yesterday's (Sept. 14) Fimes by Mr. E. De Pass. Mr. Da Pass puts his faith in Seal Island, the largest of the group of Guane Islands He has a curious reason for his belief.
Fifty-four years ago," he says, "I was on this island, in company with a Capt. Parker, of Hull, whose vessel my firm bad chartered to load guano. From the intersticer of the rocks we picked up some stones, which Capt. Parker thought at first were diamonds. He afterwards came to the conclusion that they were only rock-crystals I was too young to interest myself much in the matter."
