At the Supreme Court this morning, before His Honour Mr. A. G. Wise, Paisne Judge, presiding in Summary Jurisdiction, Taoi Chik- Dam, proprietor of the Stag Holel, preferred a claim against John Herd, and Yung Siu Kio, to recover the sun $500, being the amount alleged to be due by delendunts to the plaintiff for board and lodging supplied to the first de- ́endaul from 28th September, 1905, to 27th jeptember, 1900.

The Russian steamer Kital was night days overdue and grave fears were entertained as to her safety, says the Singapore Fete Prass of 8th inst. She left Hongkong on Sept. 74th, and should have got in to Singapore by the end of last month.
