MAGNITUDE OF BRITISH EMPIRE'S TRADE,
£1,305;281,000 or goods BOUGHT AND
SOLD IN A YEAR.
The magnitude and significance of the figures regarding the trade of the British Empire, given in a Board of Trade returu just issued under the title "Statistical Abstracts from the British Empire," can hardly be grasped. It shows that the total trade of the British Empire in the year 1904 was £1,305,283,090.
Dividing the over-sea traile into sectious, 73.3 per cent of it was foreign countries; 26.7 per cent of it was between different parts of the Empire.
