eager to arrange for meetings at Chinking, and although sufficiently burdened with her own schoolwork, served for some years past as our focal Hon. Secretary, One of her most marked characteristics was her humility, lending her often to entertain no unduly' exalted opinion of others, it was, however, rather her advanced spirituality that made ber letters, as so many have found them, an inspiration. No-one could bear to dis- appoint the high expectations her ardent nature expressed so warmly. Chiakiang seems a much poorer place now she has been taken away, yet for souls like hers Heaven is the fit abiding place.---N, C, D. News.
