market and began to make purchases only on speculation at last mail's prices and later on at an advance in prices. The sales recorded in this report were contracted during the early part of the fortnight. Latterly the steady rise to Exchange made the dealers again to recede and small sales were effected, at a decline of shout a dollar per bale, on the recent rise. Business was mostly speculative and importers 17 freely met buyers and quitted their holdings at prices quoted in this circular. Clearances were rasher moderate compared with the previous fortnight. The lightness of money is still fell amongst the Chinese dealers and that bad a great deal to do with the slackness of clear ancos. Beyond these features we have nothing worthy of special mention to note and it may our future advices will be still less com be that our municative as the Chinese New Year is fast approaching. Another distant factor to have a Influence on our yarn market in the. marked futura, which may be more affectively felt after the Chinese New Year, is the (for country like India

nted movement that has taken birth in

for boycotting British goods using only those mide in India Tself, especially of the manufa, tuing class, ona im mediate effect of which has been to turn out more manufactured goods than heretofore which will have a tendency of curtailing exports of Cotton Yarn to China,
