Apart from the missions that assimilate the native custom and style of dress it has been 'adusitted by influential missionaries themselves that at most only do per cent, do any good in the Lord's cause in China and the remaining

20 per cent, ought never to have been sent out to China. The whole subject is reduced, if we go to bed rock, to the replies in the following questione :- Where does the greater portion of the huge aggregate of millions of dollars spent on Missions in the Far East come from?

Reply: (1)—A very large portion comes-as a result of heart-rending appeals on the "Cry from Macedonia" style of lectures--from the middle class and poor of our great Homeland cities. (2)-From the pennies of the weekly Sunday-school children in Great Britain and America, many of such little mites being of the struggling, poor working classes. (3)--
