ward of the Colony, (ie, in the West quadrant, S.W. to N.W.)
A CORE Point Upwards indicates a typhoon to the Northward of the Colony, (, in the North quadrant, N.W. to N.E.)
A CONE Point Downwards indicates a, ty
phoon to the Southward of the Colony, (, in the South quadrant, S.E, to S.W) Red Signals indicate that the centra is believ
ed to be more than 300 miles away from
the Colony. Mtack Signals indicate that the centre is be
