On the 1st at 1.40 a.m. The barometer has. fallen rapidly over W. Japan, risen slightly on the E. coast of China.
The depression mayed out to the Sea of the South of Shanghai yesterday afternoon, travel- fing E.N.E, and this morning it is lying over W. Japan.
Pressure is relatively high over S.E. Japan and the S. part of the China Sea.
The wind will probably shift to N.E. in the N. part of the Formosa Channel,
Fresh S.W. monsoon in the N. part of the China Sea,
