A new Bill to be known as The Em- ployers and Servants Ordinance, 1903, and designed to remedy defects in the law of Master and Servant as it exists in the Colony has recently been drafted by the Attomey General and will shortly be introduced into the Legislative Council. The text of the Ordinance, published in this week's Govers ment Gazette, will doubtless be studied with interest by all those who, for several years past, have been agitating through the medium of the press for a revision of the law, and which may be regarded as the outcome of a recent discussion in the Chamber of Commerce respecting the inconvenience caused to foreign firms by THE BEST INGREDIENTS only the behaviour of their Chinese employees. are used,

The state of things offered a marked contrast to the position of the Chinese company when they tooke it over, · At that time it was encumbered with liabilities in all direct ions.
