REMARKABLE CHINESE RELICS :- Some very remarkable, relics of the receat Boxer movement in China have just been pre- sented to the museum of the Royal United Service Institution in Whitehall by Licüm-Col, T. A. La Mesurier, `late A,S.C. Among them are several articles of wearing apparel, including a pair of trousers of red, pink, and other bues, which are trousers only when tied round the legs, a vermilion-colored jacket, another of brown holland and black material, all bearing strange devices, and a highly grotesque helmet more like an inverted basket than anything clic The collection also com. prises three ponderous-looking swords enclosed in enormous scabbards, and several long arrows, the tips of which, it is stated, have been dipped in some poisonous liquid, Major General Sir A. Garelee, G.GL.E., has presented a remarkably constructed brass cannon which was taken by the British tops at the capture of Peking, and there is another, and scarcely less antiquated-looking weapon which was also used by the insurgents.
THE RACES.

The Russian Minister to Seoul is moving among the Korean officials with a view to pro- curing a perpetnal lease of Shuko (?), a port near Masampo. Min Yeisen (brother of the Crown Princess), and Ye Yoyok, Minister of Finance, are supporting the Russian Minister. The Minister was received in audience by His Majesty at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon and remained in the police some considerable time. The audience had something to do with the matter.
