The Hon. Treasurer (Mr, Whiting), reported that the Hospital was in a better position finan cially than at the last meating, now having credit balance of $807. The credit for this was largely due to Dr. Thompson, and he regretted that he would not be able to continue his service with the Hospital for long while to come. Ho (Mr. Whiting) was leaving the colony and it was necessary for him to resign. He proposed Mr. Alex. Ross for the position of hop, treasurer.
The Chairman, in seconding the mailen, naid It was gratifying to hear so satisfactory & report and to learn that, instead of an overdraft, they had a credit balance. This was largely due to Dr. Thompson, but the hon, treasurer, had got many new subscribers and got the old ones to continus. He hoped their tres razor's successor would be equally successful. They were all sorry to lose his services and he took this oppor toally of thanking him for what he had done, and to express
the regret of the Finance Commitee on losing him. They had been SUCCESFOR. Ho successful in securing had nothing to add to the treasurer's remarks as to the satisfactory state of the hospital
