Tnx second performance of the Rife Brigade's clever burlesque "Fra Diavolo" took place at the Theatre Royal, City Hall, on Saturday last and was an eminently successful as its predecessor. The building was filled, and in a fittle while after the doors were opened standing 1oom was at a premium. The burlesque "went" with irresistible spirit throughout and the bamaur of the plece kept the audience in a per- fect simmer of merriment The " topical tape "7 told with splendid effect and the work of the erchestra added in no small degree to the enjoy. ment of the performance. The song, dances, &c. Interspersed through the burlesque have already been noted in detail in our columus. The applause accorded the performers on Satur. day testified to the warm appreciation of the audience most emphatically, Captain R. G. T. Baker-Car deserves praise for his efficient stage management, which contributed largely towards the success of the show. To-night the last performance will be given.
