Ha Fat Cheong was picked out of the number, and identified as the brother of Ho Fat To; Chan Kwan Cacong, Fan Alal, Li Ahap. Chan Chip Lrong, and the woman Chan Achin were also identified. In conversation with the imprisoned crew, the Inspector succeeded in learning that there was, in the harbour, another junk belonging to Ho Fat To, and as he failed to find her at the spot reported as her anchorage, he resolved to look for her off the Praya Grande and in the Roads with the launch Andrade, ensign, No. 4, José Milito Cordeiro, being kept on watch in the launch Corvo in the inner harbour.

Regarding the capture of Mau Lau Yune, sild I have to report as follows:-

The Inspector haring communicated to me these facts, and having made preparations as regards men and ammunition for the purpose of securing Ho Fat To. I left Macao at 7 a.m. to-day in one of the captured junks accompanied by the launch Taipa, but after passing Kolowat, the island of Ladrao Grande (Mansan) was pointed out as the spot where Ho Fat To had taken jurisdiction, the Inspector returned to Macao without making the apprehension.
In the House of Representatives to-day, Mr. McCready introduced a resolution fixing the 12th instant for the discussion on the Silver Bill and to continue the same from day to day,

His Worship sentenced the prisoner to twelve months' imprisonment with hard labour, to receive twenty-five strokes with the rattan, and to finish the remainder of his unexpired sentence.
