Coroner Troutbeck held an Inquest privately last Friday morning before the remains of the dend Duke were taken to the crematory. The bullet had gone through the head, penetrating the brain, and death had been instantaneous. The jury rendered a verdict of "suicide while laboring under temporary Insanity.".

This verdict, however, was kept secret, as were all the details concerning the Duke's death. The remains were cremated on Friday and the urn Containing the ashes was burled on Saturday. Only the most intimate members of the family were informed of the 'cause of death, and the truth has only now become pablia through the gossip of members of the Coroner's jury.
