The German steamship Hesperia reports that she left Kobe on the 25th ulto, and caught the tail of a typhoon in Van Dieman's Straits after wards fine weather to port.

The British steamship Nettor reports that she left Kobe on the 26th ultimo. Had bard gale from south-east, in Van Dieman's Stralts: thence had moderate winds to Breaker Folat after to port bad variable winds and thunder with Ughtning and heavy southerly well.
