REPORTS

The British steamship Diamante reports that she left Manila on the 2nd instant. Had mode- rate north-east winds throughout, and fine weather.

The German steamship Niagpo reports that she left Shanghai on the 31st ultimo. Had calm and light north-easterly winds and fine weather throughout.

The German steamship Velez reports that she left Chefoo on the 30th ultimo. From Chefoo to Hie-sban had strong south-easterly wind. From Hleshan to port light north-easterly wind.

The British steamship Victoria reports that she left Nagasaki on the grat ultimo. "Kad fresh north-east wind and high north-east sea towards Turnabout; wind and sea moderating on nearing Hongkong,

The British steamship Mongkut reports that she left Bangkok on the 28th ultimo. Had fresh northerly winds to Pulo Obi and strong nonb- east wind and sex to Cape Varela; thence had moderate monsoon to port.

The British steamship Fooksang reports that she left Shanghai on the 2nd instant at 10 am, Had moderate north-east wind and fine weather

till arrival in Hongkong this morning at o'clock. On the 3rd instant, passed the steam- ship Ravenna, from Hongkong to Shanghai, of Pekbishan.

The British steamship Namklang reports that she left Singapore on the 26th ultimo at 5.51 a.m. bound for Hongkong. Had moderate north-east monsoon and head swell until off Pulo Sapata; thence bad light north-east and northerly winds with smooth sea and clear weather throughout; arrived here yesterday morning at 1.40 o'clock.

The American mail steaniship City of New York reports that she left San Francisco on the 9th ultimo at 4.11 p.m. Had light westerly to southerly winds and moderate sea the entire passage; arrived at Yokohama on the 26th at 2.50 p.m.; sailed on the 30th at 6:30 am.. Had pleasant weather and light north-cast mon”” soon to Hongkong; arrived here this morning at 7.30 am; anived off the heads at 11 p.m. on the 4th instant, weather hazy; waited for day. light.

The British steamship Harlan reports that

she left Foochow on the rst instant at 6 a.m., Amoy on the 2nd, and Swatow on the 3rd. Had light south-east winds and fine weather to Amoy, with smooth sea. From Amoy to Swatow light north-east winds and fine weather with smooth sen. From Swatow to Hongkong moderate north breeze and clear weather with smooth sen. In Foochow, the steamship Horrhin. În AmoȚ, the steamships Cheang Hye Tang, Formosa, and Chunting. In Swatow, the steamship Hoihow.

The British steamship Verona reports that the left Yokohama on the 28th ultimo at 9 am, and experienced light variable winds to Kobe. In H.M.S. Impérieuse, Cordelia, Constanca, Satel life, also Trench flagship Turenne, and a Russian ironclad in Yokohama ; left Kobe on the 30th at 7.30 p.m. Had fine weather through the Inland Sea, passed H.M.S. Sapphire, steering in Shimonoseki Strafts; left Nagasaki on the 1st instant at 7 pm,; on the and experienced north- easterly gale and confused sea with frequent rain squalls; thence to poit had north-east monsoon.

The British steamship Batavia reports that very strong westerly gales and high sea till the ahe left Vancouver on the 5th ultima Had

3rd initant, especially on, the 18th, when it Blew a hurricane for 12 hours. From the 23rd

until reaching Yokohama had moderate weather; arrived there on the asth, passage 181 days. At 1.30 pm, on the 26th left Yokobama; arrived at Woosung on the goth, passage under 4 days. A 7. p.m. on the 31st left. Woosung; off Video had sharp gale, and thence to port had fine weather. Arrived here on the 3rd instant at 8
