THIS DAY.

Noon, Business in the Share Market is still rather dull. Banks are wanted at 181 per cest, premium for the end of the month, but we have not heard of any shares being | forthcoming at that rate. North China In- surances have changed hands at $500 per share, a decrease of $100 per share since Saturday. Canton Insurances are out of favor at $120 per share. Hong- kong Fires have been sold at 81,300

bat there are further sellers at the same figure. Docks are slightly weaker, offers to sell at 53 premium failing to attract buyers. Luzon; have dropped to 863 per share for cash, sales at that rate having been booked and also further sales al 66, for the end of June. Ices are in re- guest at quotation. Nothing else requires special mention.

4 o'clock p.m.

Banks are somewhat firmer since noon and are in request at 184 per cent, prem- ium for the end of June; sales have been booked at 188 premium for the end of Jaly. Luzons have changed hands at @67 per share for July 31st. No other transac- tions came under our notice..
