'Noon. No share business of importance has come under ournotice this morning. Banks remain firm at 160 per cent. premium, for cash, but ne shares have changed hands since

we last wrote... A few minor transactions în Luzons at. 115. for December 31st, have been negociated, at whicli rate the stock remains in good demand. Steamboats are weaker, with sellers at 31 per share premium.

4 o'clock p.m.

A fair number of transfers in various stucks have been reported since the issue of our morning edition. Banks have again been made the medium of investment at 6 cash, and a further addition has been made to the large time transactions of Saturday, at 62 for December 31st, Chi- nese Insurances have changed hands at 231 per share. Docks are in, slightly bet- ter odour, cash buyers offering 54 per cent, premium without obtaining any scrip. No changes to report in Luzons, which remain in favor, with buyers but no sellers, at 115 for the end of the year. Some Ice shares have been negotiated at 164 for cash, and also at 165 for December, leaving off firm at these rates. Nothing else need be specially referred to.

The attention of boxholders is called to the necessity of carefully scaling such boxes with some recognisable seal, and of sending a chit- [347 book or receipt with them.
