THIS DAY.

Noon

Business is very quiet on the Stock Ex- change this morning, not a single transac- tion having come under our notice, After we went to press on Saturday afternoon a few China Fires changed hands at 342 per share, and at this increased rate the stock is fairly firm. The only change in other stocks worth reporting is the Int -proved position of the Ice Company's scrip which is in good demand at 155 per share.

4 o'clock p.m.

The only transactions that have come to our notice since noon, have been a few sales of Docks at 53 for the end of January, and a small parcel of Lyzons at '113 for the end of December.
