Proceedings at the race course this morning were again of comparatively little interest. The weather was mnych culder dan we have had it lately, and to this we' attribute the rather scanty attendance of sporting enthusiasts. As usual on off days" most of the ponies were confined to trotting exercise; súll a few were sent smartly along at various distances. Lady Fergusson, wife of His Excellency the Governor, died yesterday afternoon at one o'clock from cholera. The fatal illness declared itself on Saturday, when Lady Fergusson informed Dr. Findlay that she did not feel well. Dr. Blanc was immediately sent for. Cholera symptoms were unmistakeable: the cramps being severe. Lady Fergussorf was soon in a state of collapse, Later she rallies, and hopes were entertained of until midnight, when pains of labour, declared themselves, and soon after the child was a dead. From the time there was no chance of recovery. Dr. Cock was called in, everything possible done, but the patient never rallied, Miss Fergusson and Miss Richman, Lady Fergusson's sister, were sent to Malabar Point.
