76. The Registration of United Kingdom Patents (Amendment) Ordinance, 1958, made some minor amendments to the principal Ordinance to bring it into line with provisions to the Patents Act, 1949, in the United Kingdom.
Births and Deaths Registration
77. Amendments to the lists of birth register offices and death register offices were made by the Births and Deaths Registration (Amendment of First Schedule) Regulations, 1958, and the Births and Deaths Registration (Amendment of First Schedule) (No. 2) Regula- tions, 1958.
Departmental
78. The Registrar General (Establishment) (Amendment) Ordinance, 1959, was enacted to empower the Registrar General, Deputy Registrar General, Legal Assistants and Assistant Registrars to take affidavits, affirmations and declarations required for purposes limited to those of the Department. This obviates the necessity of having them appointed Commissioners for Oaths as hitherto.
