With effect from the same date the Births and Deaths Registration (Amendment of First Schedule) Regulations, 1957, introduced revised lists of birth register offices and death register offices. The new list of birth register offices was later amended by the Births and Deaths Registration (Amendment of First Schedule) (No. 2) Regulations, 1957.
