52. The number of Trust Estates administered by the Official Trustee was increased during the year from 12 to 13 by the addition of the Ho King Trust in April, 1953.

Trust Funds.

53. The market value of investments held at the close of the year was $59,590.75 (book value $58,441.61). In addition $17,850.00 was held on fixed deposit and $90,845.80 on current account. Of the large sum held on current account, $86,000.00, representing redeemed Hong Kong Government 4 per cent Conversion Loan, was awaiting reinvestment at the end of the

year.

54. The total income for the year was $11,917.22, and the balance on Income Account at the end of the year $23,033.33.

55. Table XIV contains an abstract of Receipts and Pay- ments, and shows the balance held on 31st March, 1954.
