40. The Secretary for Chinese Affairs was duly appointed

to the Board by G.N. 1201 published in the Gazette of 17.10.ANT LIBRARY

and the Legal Adviser and the five other members by G.N. 1166 published on 10.10.52.

41. The first two meetings of the newly constituted Board were held on the 3rd November and 1st December, 1952 for the purposes of formulating rules under Section 131D of the Com- panies Ordinance regulating the procedure for the conduct of the business of the Board. These rules which have received the approval of the Governor under Sect. 131D are known as the Authorized Auditors List (Admission) Rules 1953 and were published in the Gazette of 13th February, 1953 as G.N. A.38.

Patents Awards Committee

42. In November the Registrar General as Registrar of Patents was appointed a member of the Awards Committee constituted under Rule 7 of the Rules relative to the granting of Patents for inventions made by Civil Servants (G.N. No. 423 of 30.6.32 as amended by G.N. 222 of 31.3.33) this appointment being notified in the Gazette of 14th November, 1952 as G.N. No. 1301.
