NOTES AND QUERIES
The farming techniques adopted in this locality are determined by its climate and soil, the inherited skills of the people, and the economic and social conditions of the community. Most of these factors, with the exception of the climate, have changed from time to time. Survival of the traditional techniques depends greatly on the extent of the change in the factors involved. In many cases, economic pressure upon the farmers has created the need for change.
