The feasibility reports on Yau Ma Tei typhoon shelter reclamation, development north of La Salle Road and at Tai Hom were completed. Feasibility studies on further development at Kwun Tong continued, whilst similar work at Sam Ka Tsuen was in hand. Reclamation continued at Kowloon Bay, where about 966,000 cubic metres of material from Government projects and private building sites was deposited to form some 19.0 hectares of land.

The remedial works contract at Lai Chi Kok Borrow Area was completed. Reclamation at Gin Drinkers Bay was completed. Materials from Government and private works was used as covering for the tipping of refuse at Gin Drinkers Bay controlled tip.

The contract for a 1.5 Km long extension of Pillar Point Road from Pak Kok Tsui to Pillar Point was completed.
