8.04. During the year under review, new projects completed included installation of fuel storage systems at Canton Road Fire Station, Rumsey Street Multi-storey Car Park, Shek Pik Training Centre, Sai Ying Pun Medical Institute and Kowloon Hospital. At the Incinerator plants magnetic separators were commissioned at Kennedy Town and Lai Chi Kok and, at the latter plant, the 2500 KW Turbo-Alternator, 11,000 volts switchboard, steam pipe-work from boilers to turbine and a sea-water cooling system were also installed. A jib crane was provided for North Point Fire Services Pier, the repainting of fuel storage tanks at Tathong Point and the erection of two 5 tons electric overhead travelling cranes at Government Dockyard at Yau Ma Tei were also completed.

8.05. The preliminary investigation, design work, preparation of specifications and detail drawings for a number of new projects were in various stages at the end of the year.
