180. In September 1965, a Woman Inspector and a Woman Con- stable left for the United States of American on a 2 months' promotion tour of the United States of American and Canada sponsored by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries in connexion with the Far East Festival of Industries. The two officers performed traffic duties at busy intersections and at the entrance to the stores where the exhibitions were mounted. Their presence did much to ensure the success of the tour and they received a commendation on their return from the Com- missioner of Police.
181. At the Police Review held in December 1965, a contingent of Women Police were on parade under the command of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, New Territories. The Governor's Cup awarded to the best contingent on parade and held by the Women Police was surrendered to Bay View Division who were worthy winners on this occasion.
POLICE DOG UNIT
182. The Police Dog Unit moved its Headquarters from Pat Heung to the old Ping Shan police station, in the New Territories. Staffed by 4 N.C.O.'s and 33 Constables and commanded by a Senior Inspector it has a total of 30 dogs on strength. These comprise 4 Dobermann trackers and 26 Alsation and Dobermann patrol dogs.
183. The total number of arrests resulting from the use of both patrol and tracker dogs during the year amounted to 59, detailed as follows:

184. The Police Band, under the Director of Music, consists of two sections; a conventional military band and a drum and pipe band.
