ENTERTAINMENT
263. Sixteen launch picnics for families and two for school children were organized during the year. The hire of vessels and cost of refresh- ments were met from the Police Welfare Fund. A number of parties were held for children during the Chinese New Year.
POLICE SPORTS ASSOCIATION
264. This Association promotes all organized Force sports. Member- ship is open to all regular and auxiliary officers, civilian staff and pen- sioners. At its Boundary Street Ground the Association has a well equipped club house and grounds for football and other sports. Income is derived from monthly subscriptions and football gate receipts.
265. Plans for the swimming pool referred to in last year's report have been shelved and consideration is now being given to alternative recreational and sports facilities at Boundary Street.
SPORT
266. The Police Rugby XV finished runners-up to the Hong Kong Football Club in the 1963-64 Pentangular Tournament.
267. The Annual Swimming Gala was held on 8th October at the Victoria Swimming Pool and was particularly well attended.
268. The Annual Police Athletics Meeting was held on 8th February at Boundary Street and the Dowman Road Race in the New Territories on 1st March.
269. A number of police officers have represented the Colony in Football, Rugby, Basketball, Cricket and Athletic teams.
POLICE RECREATION CLUB
270. Membership of this Club is open to all officers of the rank of Probationary Inspector and above. The Club provides facilities for Cricket, Lawn Bowls, Billiards and social functions.
