HEALTH

19. The number of days lost during the year due to sickness in the Force totalled 25,913 of which 2,322 were accounted for by Gazetted Officers and Inspectors and 23,591 by the Rank and File. Of this total, 8,805 days sick leave were granted to a relatively small number of sufferers from tuberculosis. The annual X-Ray survey of police and civilian staff, during which 6,846

which 6,846 examinations were made, detected seventy five active cases of this disease during the year compared with seventy two cases last year.
