31 December 1993 (1992-47 cents per
share). Together with the interim
dividend of 18 cents per share paid on
15 October 1993 (1992 - 17 cents per
share), dividends for the year ended
31 December 1993 will amount to 68
cents per share, totalling HK$274.5
million (1992-HK$258.3 million).
年十月十五日所派發之中期股息每股一
角八仙(一九九二年為每股一角七仙)
計算在內,本年度全年股息為每股六角
八仙,合共派息爲港幣二億七千四百五
十萬元(一九九二年為港幣二億五千八
百三十萬元 )。
Disposal of Properties
On 29 November 1993, the Company
entered into conditional agreements
with two wholly owned subsidiaries of
Sun Hung
Hung Kai Properties Limited
("SHKP") for the disposal of its property
at 81 How Ming Street, Kwun Tong (the
"Kwun Tong Property") and a portion of
the property (including unutilized
development potential thereon) at 51-53
Kwai Cheong Road, Kwai Chung (the
"Kwai Chung Property") for cash
consideration of HK$1,223 million and
HK$505 million respectively. The
reasons for the disposals were that the
two depot sites were surplus to the
requirements of the Company for bus
operation purposes and that the capital
outlay and cash flow requirement
involved in their redevelopment would
be very substantial.
出售物業
於一九九三年十一月二十九日,本公司
與新鴻基地產發展有限公司(「新鴻
基」)兩間全資附屬公司訂立有附帶條
件之物業出售協議,出售位於觀塘巧明
街八十一號之物業(「觀塘物業」)及
位於葵涌葵昌路五十一至五十三號之物
業之一部份(包括其未予運用之發展潛
力)(「葵涌物業」)。現金總代價分
別為港幣十二億二千三百萬元及港幣五
億零五百萬元。出售該兩幅廠地是由於
它們已不再需用作本公司巴士經營之用
途,而重建該兩項物業所涉及之資本支
出及流動現金將會極之龐大。
