BUS DEPOTS

Permanent Bus Depot

The Company did not acquire any additional permanent bus depots during the year.

The Kwai Chung Maintenance Depot, which has a site area of approximately 7,300 square metres, was previously used to assist in the maintenance of buses allocated to West Kowloon. Its function as a maintenance depot was subsequently taken over by the maintenance facilities in the Shatin Depot opened in 1989. Approval has been obtained from the Government to release this depot from bus operation. A decision has yet to be made regarding the future use of the depot.

巴士車廠

永久巴士車廠

年内本公司並無增購任何永久巴士車廠。

葵涌保養廠地盤面積約為七千三百平方米,以往曾 用作協助維修行走西九龍巴士,惟其保養廠之功 能後來已由一九八九年啟用之沙田車廠所取代。本 公司已獲政府批准毋須再將此廠房用作經營巴士業 務,然而,本公司尚未就此廠房日後之用途作出決 定。
