STAFF RELATIONS

KMB has always recognised that a productive workforce depends on good

staff-management relations. The dialogue.

between staff and management has

been an ongoing process and various

communication channels are available

between staff and management for the

exchange of ideas. Contributions and comments from individual staff are always considered and evaluated. There are two Joint Consultative Committees, one for the Traffic Department and the other for the Service Department, which hold monthly meetings to discuss ways to improve working conditions.

Apart from that, frequent meetings are held with the two staff unions to discuss both conditions of service and work issues. Our monthly in-house magazine also keeps the employees

abreast of the Company's latest

activities. Suggestion boxes are also

provided in the depots for the collection

of suggestions and comments from

personnel stationed away from our

headquarters. To help new employees

adapt to our working environment, we

have set up a telephone hot line at our

Bus Captain Training School to offer prompt assistance.

In 1983, KMB replaced the old staff

retirement fund scheme with a new

non-contributory Daily-Rated Employee Retirement Fund Scheme which is wholly funded by KMB. The medical centre

which was relocated to the new head- quarters in Lai Chi Kok in late 1989, provides general medical consultation to all employees. This year, as part of KMB's improvement programme, a new medical clinic was set up in Tuen Mun for the convenience of KMB staff located in the New Territories.

勞資關係

九巴一向確信良好之勞資關係有助於促

進員工之工作效率。本公司之勞資雙方

不斷保持對話,而且雙方可透過各種溝通

途徑交換意見,本公司更不斷地考慮及

評估個別員工提出之建議及批評。此外,

本公司分別隸屬交通部及工程部之兩個

勞資協商會每月均舉行會議,商討改善

服務條件之方法。

此外,本公司亦經常與兩個職工會舉行

會議,討論員工之服務條件及工作問題

本公司之內部月刋亦全面報導本公司之

最新動態。本公司車廠內設有意見箱,

收集總部以外員工之意見及批評。為協助

新員工適應工作環境,本公司更於車長

訓練學校設立熱綫電話,以提供即時

協助。

於一九八三年,九巴提供一項不需供款

之日薪員工退休金計劃以取代舊有的

員工退休金計劃,而該退休金之全部金額 乃由公司支付。一九八九年年底,本公司

之醫療中心已遷往位於荔枝角之新總 寫字樓,現時該中心可為全體員工提供

全面之醫療服務。作為九巴改善計劃之 一部份,本公司已於今年在屯門設立一所 新醫療診所,以方便新界區之九巴員工。
