LICENCES
BROADCAST RECEIVING LICENCES
Licences may be obtained from all post offices at a charge of $20.00 per annum.
One licence covers any number of sets in a single household; but lodgers, paying guests and occupiers of flats (even if not self- contained), count as separate householders and require separate licences.
Separate licences are necessary for wireless receivers fitted in motor- cars, yachts and motor launches.
A Rediffusion subscriber who also possesses a wireless receiver must obtain a wireless licence from the Post Office.
Period of Validity. An initial licence is valid for twelve months from the date of issue. A renewal licence covers a full period of twelve months from the date on which the previous licence expires.
RADIO DEALER'S LICENCES
A Radio Dealer's Licence authorises the licensee to sell, hire or otherwise dispose of wireless communication apparatus for use in radiocommunication, subject to certain conditions laid down in the
licence.
The cost of such licences is $250.00 per annum, renewable on the 1st January annually.
EXPERIMENTAL STATION LICENCES
Experimental station licences are issued only to agents or bona fide representatives of well known manufacturers whose business is con- cerned with the manufacture, installation, repair or maintenance of commercial wireless transmitting apparatus.
