REPLY COUPONS.

Reply coupons are exchangeable at post offices abroad for postage stamps, and thus enable the sender of a letter to a place abroad to prepay a reply. The Postmaster General reserves the right to demand that reply coupons and the correspondence to be prepaid by means of the stamps received in exchange for these coupons, shall be presented at the same time.
They are sold at the General Post Office, Hong Kong, and the Central Post Office, Kowloon; and coupons received from other countries may be ex- changed for postage stamps at these two offices only. Imperial Coupons.
These coupons are valid only within the British Empire, and may be purchased at 20 cents each. They are exchangeable in any country of the Empire for a stamp or stamps representing the minimum postage payable on a letter sent from that country to Hong Kong. An Imperial coupon received in Hong Kong is exchangeable for stamps to the value of 15 cents.
Exceptionally, Imperial coupons issued in Hong Kong are exchangeable in Palestine, and vice versa. International Coupons.
These coupons may be purchased at 40 cents each, and are exchangeable in any foreign country of the Postal Union for a stamp or stamps representing the minimum postage payable on a letter sent from that country to Hong Kong. An International coupon received in Hong Kong is exchangeable for stamps to the value of 25 cents.

REGULATIONS
CONCERNING STAMPS.
Imperfect or Defaced Stamps.
Payment of postage cannot be made by means of imperfect or defaced postage stamps. Stamps are con- sidered defaced when marked on the face with any written, printed or stamped characters.
Obsolete Stamps.
Postage stamps issued in the reign of Queen Vic- toria and King Edward VII are no longer valid for the prepayment of postage, and are not repurchased by the Post Office.
